Saturday 02 October 2010 run programme

  • Hi Guys, just a reminder that this Thursday 30th September there is an introduction track session at the ES Marks Athletic Field, which will be run by Wayne.   The entry is $4-50 paid when you enter the track and goes to the Centennial Park and Moore Park trust but there is no additional cost as it is only an introductory session for the funrunners.   To get to the ES Marks Athletics  Field, it is near the corner of Anzac Parade and Dacey Ave/Alison Rd corner. If you are travelling from the City along Anzac Parade heading towards Kensington, once past the cnr of Dacey Ave and Alison Rd, still on Anzac parade, turn into the first street on the right which is Boronia St and this is where the entry to the Athletics track is.  Recommend you get to the track at 6.00 for a warm up with the session to commence at 6.30.

If you enjoy the track session and are keen to pursue more track training, please refer directly to Iris or Peter Good.  But this Thursday is just an introductory session instead of the usual 5km funrun but the 5km funrun will continue as usual each Thursday night from the following week at 6.30.

Also, with next Monday 4th October being a public holiday in NSW, training for Funrunners will be at 6.00, meeting at the bubbler just inside the Paddington gates as this weekend is the start of daylight savings! Yeh! So training will be in the park in daylight!

And this weekend, there will be the usual 5km walk and run at 8.00 and Wayne’s group will be doing a 10km loop.   See you all at brekky!

Have a good long weekend and dont forget we run for fun!

    Cheers.
