Event Information
Looking for a fun weekend activity for the whole family? Why not sign up for the first Redlands Koala Fun Run scheduled for Sunday 29 May 2011.
Set in the picturesque landscapes and foreshores of Redland City and Moreton Bay, this event is set to become one of the most popular in the annual fun run calendar for serious and amateur runners alike.
Redland City Council has joined forces with Tailwind Promotions to create a fun run with three circuit lengths (3.5km, 5km and 10km) to suit every fitness level and help us keep active and healthy.
It’s all aimed at raising the profile of Australia’s iconic koala species and encourage people to do their part to save our dwindling urban koala population in the Redlands.
We want people to know they can make a difference to help koalas survive and thrive, no matter where they live. This event will encourage people to act now to protect our koala population and help to raise funds and awareness.
By supporting and getting involved in this exciting event, you can have fun – and give koalas a voice and a helping hand.
