Club Funds – Note to all members

Dear AE Members,
Although we have very modest expenses we do need to generate a small amount of regular income as a club to fund essentials such as insurance. And we would also like to continue to support our members, as we have done in the past, by funding some race entries and providing some niceties like food and beverage at some of our own club events.

The committee considered raising the cost of membership to help boost income but decided that we’d rather not do so. We feel that the low membership fees that we have today allow us to be very accessible to new members – an ethos that makes us the inclusive friendly club we are today.

So this is a call for support. We need some help to generate some new funding streams for our club.

Do you know a local business that would like to sponsor us? We are very open to providing local businesses with advertising space on our website, club banner or training tops in return for a regular donation.

Do you know of anybody that requires paid volunteers for an event? (in the past we have provided volunteers to help at international rugby games in return for donations to the club)

Or maybe you have another idea for fund raising?

Please voice any offers of help or ideas to one of the committee

Festive season running

AE fun runners will be meeting at our usual spot in the park..
Christmas Day 8.30am 5k Chrissy run
Boxing Day 6.30pm 5k run around the park (no training squad) – dinner after at Thai Randwick

Well done to everyone involved in the weekend’s NSW Relay Champs…..another triumphant AE weekend.

Let’s celebrate and head down to the Local Taphouse (http://www.thelocal.com.au/SYD/ ) after the track session this Thursday (24th Nov) to generally crow about our successes, share stories with members that couldn’t be there and have some fine ale and food. Spread the word
